I took a stab at painting!

I've been wanting to get back into painting for a while now. This is the first painting I've done in 15 years. I mean, I've painted within the last 15 years but it's always been part of some project or something, not just painting for the heck of it!
It's for my friend's birthday for her to hang in her new office! She has her own Therapy practice so lots of people will see it. It's a scene from Prospect park near where I live. I plan to do more of these. Painting is very Soothing.

Painting is definitely very soothing. Even after a long hard day at work, it has a way of calming releasing tension. Keep it up, girl! I want to see more of these from you! I enjoy the style!

Looks pretty solid to me...
What was the media and the work time?

Pedro I used acrylics on a 5" x 7" canvas. I'd say The painting took me a give or take 3 hours, including time to wait for layers of paint to dry. I am planning on doing a whole bunch of these!

I'm the birthday girl for whom Pilar painted this park scene. It brought a tear to my eye; I was so overwhelmed with it. It's an incredible piece of work. It's hanging prominently in my office; and it makes me happy.
